Patrick Heron CBE, was a British abstract and figurative artist, writer, and polemicist, who lived in Zennor, Cornwall. As one of Britain’s most acclaimed artists, his work is proudly being displayed in the Tate St Ives from 19th May until 30th September. The celebrated exhibition will stretch from Heron’s early work in the 1940s to his death at the very end of the 20th century, showing the full evolution of his vibrant abstract paintings.
We recommend allocating a few hours to explore the works of distinguished local artists at the Tate St Ives. Not only is the building itself a work of art, the cafe at the top is worth a visit for the brilliant views of the beach and town.
