Christmas At Drym House..

We had a fabulous week at Drym House. The house is immaculate, with lots of space for everyone to relax. We were spoiled with beautiful weather and made the most of the amazing garden. It is quite remote, but that made it all the more peaceful and it is very well equipped for eating in. It is in the perfect location to explore lots of fabulous places in Cornwall.
Aileen

Thank you for a lovely stay at Drym House. We obviously had a very quiet week and just did some family walks which was perfect and the food from the farm shop was great quality. The Cornish Chef was a real treat and we would definitely use again. The younger members of the family (in their 20s!) loved the sofas and now one so if you know where they came from do let me know please. The bathrooms and bedrooms were very comfortable. I loved the fridge and storage units in the kitchen. I think we will look for another stay in the summer and new years so will get on and look into options this week.
Claire

We stumbled across Drym House at short notice as we had to cancel a holiday to France. We were not disappointed. The house sits in lovely gardens and we were lucky enough to have good weather so we made good use of the great outdoor seating spaces. There is also a stylish wood fired hot tub. The house itself is immaculate, comfortable and well styled. The manager Lisa answered any questions we had quickly and was very helpful. The house is a drive to the beach but it's located in a quiet hamlet which was nice to return to after a busy day at the beach. Highly recommend this to everyone.

Sally

It was such a pleasure staying at Drym House. It is immaculate and really one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in. We always try to treat the places we stay as we would our own. We hope we will have the opportunity to return sometime soon. Thank you again for all of your help in making our stay so enjoyable.
Krista

We had such a great time in this brand new cottage, we even didn’t expect to find such a beauty in the last minute of booking! It’s away from main noisy roads, but close to the most key places in Cornwall, so it’s absolute privacy. The territory has a big parking place, the barbecue area with sofas and opportunity to go inside to the second living room in case of bad weather. The kitchen is amazing with everything what you need (even with the wine fridge). The interior design is very stylish and just after renovation. There is a lot of place for everyone and it’s perfect for families or friends gathering. Lisa was a very helpful and thoughtful host and I highly recommend this place for everybody!!

The Loft apartment is absolutely fantastic. The pictures don’t do it justice. Much better than expected. The apartment has a very modern feel to it and is super clean. The log burner in the living area was a really lovely touch. Communication with Lisa at Sandy Toes Stays was very easy and straight forward, on top of that instructions on how things are done in the flat were super easy. The apartment had lovely touches everywhere, from the bedroom, through to the hallway, nothing to disappoint really. As first time St Ives visitors we though the location was great. Not too far from town but far enough not to be in the mix of it, as it can get extremely busy. The apartment came with great parking facilities So no worries parking the car. All in all Lisa is a great host, with a great home. If visiting and you do come across this home I’d defo recommend those property. It was great. We will be visiting again for sure.

Ola

Really lovely apartment, really nice finishing touches and actually a great location to explore both St Ives and surrounding area. We couldn’t fault it and would highly recommend! The added bonus was that we realised parking in St Ives is tricky; to have a place just outside with a parking space saved lots of money, time and stress during the last week of summer holidays!

Matt

Tom’s Place was a great find, someones cancellation was our gain, the place is truly lovely and Sandy Toes make sure everything is first class on arrival, even down to the bottle of Prosecco on arrival. Lisa is one of those hosts who is always available if needed and not busy bodying around you, which is how it should be in our opinion. Everything is spotlessly clean, towels and bedding are super quality and there is also washer/dryer which was an added bonus with 2 children, parking is great too with your own private space, which is a premium in and around St Ives, it is no more than 15 minutes walk into St Ives and around 20 minutes back up the hill, could not recommend this place highly enough and Sandy Toes, thank you Lisa for supporting us in making great memories as a family.

Nicholas

Well-equipped, super spacious, and very comfortable. And you get a bit of a Seaview too! Parking is fab - and the 20 min walk down into town easy (a paved, well lit, straight line). There’s a Co-op on the way to town, so I didn’t need to move my car except to head to the Eden Project. All round excellent.

John

Beautiful apartment and it was spotless! Loads of room great storage and it's really cosy for evenings in after a long day of exploring. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Sian

There was no disappointment when we arrived at The Loft - it was as fabulous as the photos suggested. The apartment had a stylish, quality feel about it in every room. The kitchen was exceptional - including every utensil/piece of equipment you could possibly need. As other reviews have mentioned, it does back onto a fairly busy road, but that did not affect our stay. Similarly, it is a 15/20 minute walk down to the town/beach/harbour, which is uphill on the return, but we found it a nice alternative to trying to find parking. Would love to return.

Lynne

Great location, really gorgeous apartment with lots of space and perfect for a beach get away. Can’t recommend The Loft enough.

Just returned home from the most amazing family half term week in St Ives. We visit every year but have never stayed in the town itself. ZigZag was brilliant, location was fantastic and it was such a well equipped self catering cottage. Communication with Lisa was spot on, would definitely book again 10/10! Thank you so much! Mai

A wonderful cottage over 4 floors (!) with a very cozy vibe. We enjoyed the amazing location in central St Ives, just two minutes walk to one of the beaches in the harbour (the one that gets the sun the longest in the evening!) and close to all the shops and bars and restaurants. You can also walk the other way to Porthmeor beach, surf school, restaurant and cafe. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans and everything you need to cook proper meals (even a food processor) and there is a little table outside by the street which catches the morning and evening sunshine. The streets of St Ives are tiny and parking is at best a short walk away, plus the property is spreads across 4 floors so this property is best suited to those whose mobility is not impaired. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay in St Ives and for day trips to the beautiful surrounding areas.
Nick

Fantastic location a few minutes walk from the beaches & harbour front. We absolutely loved our stay here and it was lovely arriving to complimentary biscuits, tea & coffee and other basics. Nice touches like board games provided which our kids enjoyed. Cottage is a clean and simple aesthetic with everything we needed for our family of 4. Just a note to families, the flights of stairs are quite steep at the cottage which our 2 and a half year old was fine on but a younger child may need stair gates. Overall a really fabulous stay!

Gemma

Top marks for Zigzag, Back Road East.
A lovely, homely property & well cared for by the owners.
We felt we would be much fitter on return home after climbing up  4 floors!!......the view over St Ives was worth the climb …..right over to the Monterey pines in Carbis Bay where we used to live. I did appreciate all the art by Anne Bowsher.

Thanks again for looking after us. Best wishes.
Gill & Peter

Zig Zag is a beautiful cottage in a perfect location. We arrived to a spotless, well decorated, cosy cottage. The welcome tea bags, biscuits and milk were much appreciated and such a thoughtful touch. We enjoyed it so much, we didn't want to come home.

Michelle

A wonderful little cottage over 4 floors. Very clean and great communication with host. Good central location close to harbour, bars and restaurants. We loved the black cat that came to visit every morning too. I would recommend staying here not ideal if you have difficulty with stairs though.

Kelli

Our stay at Zigzag was simply spot on!

The house is perfectly located to access everything St Ives has to offer. Close to car parking, the beaches, places to eat…

The house was well equipped, very tidy and comfortable.

Would definitely recommend and would most definitely stay again.

Newlyn arts and fishing village..

Eighteen has just been renovated to an extremely high standard, retaining many period features and offers comfortable accommodation for four guests. The accommodation provides plenty of space with an open plan lounge/diner, with white washed granite walls and contemporary furniture. A newly fitted kitchen has been tastefully designed with new appliances, fan assisted oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer. A utility area adjoins the kitchen which keeps the washing machine tucked away for guest use. From the dining area an original glazed door leads to a super sun-trap enclosed courtyard space just perfect for a glass of wine on the newly built seating area.

On the first floor two spacious bedrooms and a bathroom complete the space. The generous front bedroom has a king sized bed along with dual aspect windows and plenty of inbuilt storage/wardrobe space. The second bedroom can be either configured as two twin beds or these can be zip and linked to create a double bed. Both bedrooms have bedside tables and lamps along with a hairdryer supplied for your convenience. The newly refitted spacious bathroom has WC, sink and a full sized bath with shower over.

A perfect place..

Outside of Eighteen, a small courtyard completes the downstairs space, an original outhouse provides the perfect space to store surfboards and beach stuff, even a couple of bicycles if you are thinking of bringing these to tour the area. Off street parking and plenty of local transport links make Eighteen the perfect base for those wishing to explore further afield or those just wishing to relax, take time out or maybe take some inspiration from the local art scene to attend a workshop locally.

Newlyn is nestled in the bay and has wonderful views of St Michaels Mount, you may even see dolphins following in the fishing boats into the harbour. Penzance can be easily walked via the Promenade or Mousehole a longer walk, in the opposite direction.

Reviews

We stayed here for 2 weeks as a family of four. The house has been very well renovated and is a really smart and comfy stay for a family. The beds, in particular were great and I have rarely slept as well in a hotel or BnB. Newlyn is a great location, in the middle of the West Cornwall area and most things that we wanted to see and do, including our favourite beach at Godrevy, we’re less than 30 minutes away. On the doorstep are some really nice places to eat (although we were more takeaway than usual this year), I’d particularly recommend Duke St Cafe, especially if Boris is paying for ½ of your crab sandwich . Lisa is great host and, should you have need, she will be on the case straight away to make the stay as pleasant as possible. We loved our time here and wish we could have stayed longer - thoroughly recommended.

Andrew

We had an amazing stay in Newlyn at Eighteen. It’s a lovely house and perfect location. Walking distance from everything. The house has been renovated really well and had everything we needed. Book it! It was great and we’ll be coming back!

Adam

Lovely house, nicely renovated with comfy beds and good facilities, in a quiet street. Spotlessly clean, great location only a couple of minutes walk to the water, shops and pubs. We took our dog who enjoyed the walk to mousehole and his morning duo in the sea. Good eating options in Newlyn too particularly Mackerel Skye. Lisa was great to deal with both during our enquiry and before we arrived, offering excellent advice and very quick responses. The house exceeded our expectations and we would definitely return.

Annabel

Stylish house that’s bigger that you expect - I felt right at home immediately. The restaurants are 5 mins walk and are all amazing. So much for a tiny village. There’s even a boutique cinema with restaurant. This corner of Mounts Bay might just be the best part to stay in.

Chris

We spent 2 weeks at this cottage and it was lovely - Newlyn is a cute little town and a short walk (15 min) to Penzance along the waters front one way and Mousehole the other direction, with a local co-op, gym, cool cinema and a couple of great restaurants. The house itself is well equipped with comfy beds and a really strong shower! There's a washing machine and everything you need in the kitchen - we made plenty of meals. Not much of an outdoor space (it's a very small courtyard) but you're 5 minute walk to the sea so it didn't bother us much. There is WiFi which should be good enough for your needs, I worked for a couple of days in the 2 weeks and could do audio calls but struggled a bit with video! It's on a quiet street and we never really had an issue finding parking, this was early September. All in all, great little spot for a holiday base!
Joshua

Communication was exceptional in every instance! Newlyn is a lovely area and the house was lovely! I would stay in any of Sandy Toes Stays' properties just because Lisa was so helpful at every point!

Maija

Fabulous Stay at Sandy Toes. Lisa left us very clear and easy instructions on how to get in to the House and where to Park. Lisa also gave us great recommendations on which beaches to visit and local restaurants. Dukes Cafe was our favourite Breakfast stop.

The House was lovely and totally spotless. Everything we needed was available. The beds were so comfy and Lisa provided lovely linen and towels. All in all a totally fabulous spot to stay and we will definitely be booking a return visit as soon as we can. Thanks again Lisa xxx

Denise

The cottage is beautifully decorated and feels just like home. It features a fully equipped kitchen and a nicely decorated living room. It's conveniently located within walking distance of restaurants, pubs, and a beautiful seaside walk.

If you are looking to be close to shops, cafes, pubs and the beach then this is the place to stay! We were very comfortable from the moment we arrived. St Ives is great for everything except parking..but fortunately the location of the cottage allows for seamless offloading of luggage from the car right in front and parking at Park Avenue car park just a short walk away made out trip less stressful. Lisa was super friendly making sure we knew exactly where to go and was very responsive. We enjoyed the large kitchen with farm style table and spent the rest of the time at the beach!!

Wesley

A great choice for a family with two young children; quiet, spacious living areas, sparkling clean and a great location, close to all the beautiful beaches and fantastic restaurants. Would recommend!

Portia

Really nice family cottage right in the middle of St Ives. 5 mins walk to lots of great beaches harbour, shops, restaurants... Nice little courtyard for any outdoor gear...

Simon

We had an excellent week at Starfish Cottage. The cottage was really cosy and equipped with all the necessary amenities. Location was perfect, just a couple of minutes stroll from the town centre, beach and harbour.

Tony

I had a terrific stay at the cottage. The location is great - only 2 minutes from the harbour, as advertised, but extremely quiet. The house was spacious and light with everything you’d need. Sandy Toes Stays was so responsive - and so thoughtful and helpful! Highly recommend, and look forward to coming back soon.

Wonderful house in the ideal location in St Ives. Clean, quiet, wonderful space. Couldn't ask for more. Do not hesitate to book this place!!!
