This is an absolutely stunning house in a beautiful location. Everything in the house and garden was beautiful and of high quality. The ages in our party ranged from 4 to 74 and everyone was provided for with everything we could possibly need. We knew we would find a lot to entertain us on holiday in Cornwall, but we wern't expecting to be so happy and comfortable just relaxing in the house and garden as well. Excellent communication and information from our hosts too. Perfect experience, thank you!

Jamie

We had a wonderful stay at this property (August 2022). It was ideal for our needs as we were travelling with my parents. Having the additional annex meant that we could all have our space as needed, but still eat, play in the garden all together etc. The house was also great for our girls (aged 2 and 4 years). It was full of toys and an excellent book selection that kept them occupied for hours. The house itself is beautiful. Lived up to all the photos and the garden had recently been landscaped making it a lovely space to play/eat/relax.

Anna was a great host. Very responsive to any questions we had about the house before we arrived. Also supplied lots of useful information about local activities for kids in all weathers, as well as . We had a local contact (Lisa) should any issues have arisen (we didn't have any). But she was very quick to respond when we asked if we could check in slightly early. The property was easy to find and check-in / check-out was very easy.

In terms of location property is on outskirts of St Ives. It would have been possible to walk into St Ives (20 mins or so) or take the bus. Definitely best given how busy it is at this time of year. Looks of parking at the property and good location to drive to other towns etc.

Overall highly recommended.

Jessica

We really enjoyed our stay, the house was absolutely amazing - bit hit with our 3 kids and dog. Location is lovely and numerous walks within distance and St. Ives just down the hill. Communication was great throughout and we‘d love to stay again in the future.

Summerhouse and sea views..

Camellia Cottage first greets you into a sizeable open-plan living / dining room which spans the total width of the house. The living area boasts plenty of comfortable seating for around 9 or 10 people around the charming fire, perfect for those cosy movie nights with the family. At the back of the property is a quaint yet well equipped kitchen with an open hatch into the dining room for the easeful passing through of Sunday roasts and conversations while cooking.

Half way up the stairs you will find the back door leading out to the property's unique features, the large terraced garden, annex and summer house. A washing machine can be found in the utility cupboard outside between the main house and annex. The annex which houses a brand new extra double with single bunk bed and shower room with WC finished to a fresh and modern standard. Succulents and ferns fill the garden up to the summer house which has its own kitchenette and seating area. A large table with plentiful seating overlooks the most incredible, panoramic view of St Ives Bay and out to sea. The summerhouse is ideal for preparing meals to enjoy al fresco on a warm summers day or relaxing evening.

The top floor of the main house is where the 3 bedrooms and family bathroom are found. The first bedroom is better suited for the kids with bunk beds, the bottom being a double. The main bedrooms both occupy the front of the cottage with double beds and vanity sink units. With ample hanging and storage space for clothes and a dressing table for makeup. Upstairs is light and airy, with charming coastal themed artwork and lovingly restored solid wood flooring. The family bathroom is also a great size and it conveniently has a separate bath and shower cubical, heated towel rail, toilet and wash-basin with storage underneath.

Access to The Warren is extremely narrow and unloading outside the front door is not possible. We recommend unloading from the Station car park by the steps leading down to the Pedn Olva.

A perfect place..

Camellia Cottage welcomes large families of up to 8 guests and the dog! This property really is an ideal home away from home for a beach getaway in the most sought after destination in Cornwall, moments away from all the shops, bars, restaurants and beaches.

The Warren is a beautifully quiet and quaint spot, yet centrally located and within easy walking distance to the bus and train station. The train station offers pay and display parking which many people holidaying in St Ives opt to use. You are also only a short and gentle walk to Porthminster beach and St Ives town centre. The Warren is a conservation area and is one of the oldest streets in St Ives so has a lot of character.

A cosy cottage in a comfortable position, a comfortable flat walk to the harbour side and town centre, or head in the other direction for the swimming beaches. Lisa and the gang have kitted the cottage out well and it’s suitable for a large family, or a group of friends spending a break away. Don’t know what the area would be like during high season as I avoid tourist traps at those times like the plague. All being said, a cosy getaway cottage with all the Amenities to hand. Thanks for a lovely stay. Jerry

Jerry

Fantastic place to stay in St Ives. Couldn’t really get a better location and the view from the decking is stunning in the sun. Everything was clean and prepared for us - recommend staying here.

Jordan

We stayed at Camellia Cottage for a weeks stay in November, also working from there for a few days.

The place is fantastic and it would be even better in the warmer season, with the patio and summer house fully usable, but its location very close to the harbour and seasides was the best part.

The description was spot on and the communication quick and efficient. Lisa was especially kind in making arrangements for a different check-out time due to some work commitments on our end.

We will definitely come back if we have the chance!

Andrea

Wow! What's not to like about this place! brilliant hospitality, amazing place, what a treat. tha ks and we'll be back soon 🙂

John

Gorgeous house, very warm and cosy and, well equipped. The garden is beautiful, and the views of the sea over the roof top were amazing.

Jo

I wanted to say that we had a wonderful stay at Camellia Cottage.
The cottage its self is really charming and well equipped.
the location is a real winner for this property, so easy to take your beach stuff down to Porthminster and back again, and also equally quick to walk into the town.
The summerhouse is such a great element of the property as the views are simply stunning, I could spend hours/days just watching the tide and the boats coming and going. It also made for the idea area to dry washing or swimming/ wetsuits.
All in all it was wonderful and I am really glad we booked with you again.

We had a lovely week staying at Captain's Loft. It was perfect for our family - the place is a recent barn conversion and has been renovated to a really high standard, and was a comfortable base from which to explore Cornwall. Godolphin (which has its own National Trust woodland) is a quiet village but really well situated to head south to the Lizard, across to the Helford Estuary, and to all major beaches in the area. Beaches visited included Kynance, Poldhu and Porthcurno, all within easy reach. The place was relaxing enough to stay in and eat at home, but we also took a cab into nearby Porthleven for Amelie and Mussel Shoal. Thoroughly recommended and you won’t be disappointed.

Mark

The perfect place for our mini-holiday break as a family of three. The house is cosy, absolutely spotless and had everything we needed. Location is excellent for visiting some of the best parts of Cornwall. We would highly recommend

James

Definitely highly recommend this place. Everything was clean and new, and it's in a great location for exploring beaches around the area and the southernmost part of Cornwall. The house had such a relaxing atmosphere and was the perfect place to come back to after a day out and about- definitely ended up being a great choice and I look forward to staying there again.

Emily

Wow, what a fabulous place to stay. If i hadn't read other peoples reviews I would have thought we were the first guests to stay here, the house spotless. Very cosy, nice and warm.
A great location, eay to get anywhere in Cornwall.
Everything you could possibly want from a holiday house in Cornwall.

St Ives is often described as Cornwall’s ‘Jewel in the Crown’ and is one of the UK’s most sought after holiday destinations. With its temperate climate and with not one but five golden sandy beaches, clear Atlantic waters and fabulous coastal scenery, it can’t fail to impress. It’s narrow streets, fashionable shops, restaurants, bars an cafe’s all make St Ives a must visit destination.

For Art lovers St Ives is host to the Tate Gallery, the Barbara Hepworth Museum and the Leach Pottery as well as over 25 commercial art galleries. There is also the St Ives School of Painting for those who wish to participate themselves. Classes can be booked in advance.

For those who wish to explore further, St Ives is well positioned with the north and south coast only a twenty minute drive apart. it is very easy to explore the very different scenery of Cornwall, coastal and inland, without having to travel very far.

Corner Cottage has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay in St Ives. It is in the perfect location in the middle of town, but with the parking permit there are no worries about finding a spot! Visiting in winter, we really appreciated good central heating and the fire in the evenings. The kitchen is also extremely well equipped for a holiday rental, as well as being a really good size. We have visited St Ives many times over the years and this is the best equipped, most comfortable place we have stayed by far!

Izzy

This was our third visit to Corner Cottage and was a joy to be back. So very clean and comfortable with everything you need and lots of little touches that help to make for a lovely few days away. As it is in the heart of the town, it acts as a great base to explore the town and with the parking permit, you can easily come and go as you wish.
We would highly recommend.

Keith

The location of this cottage is perfect!!! the parking space was so valuable. We parked up and didn't drive the car for 4 days and explored St Ives. just off Fore Street the location couldn't have been better. The cottage was clean and fully equipped for any length of stay. I will have no hesitation in booking Corner Cottage again.

Emma

Had 3 delightful nights at Corner Cottage. Well-maintained cosy property tastfully furnished in an ideal location within a few minutes walk to all local amenities. Very comfy beds and an extremely cosy lounge with an excellent coal-effect gas fire. Good size kitchen with everything you need for a short break and more. We loved the Christmas decorations!

Jenny

Gorgeous place to explore St Ives from. Perfect location, right next to the beach and the town centre and round the corner from the Tate. Great to have parking space so no need to worry about finding a spot after a day trip out and about.
We loved the cosy feel of the cottage. Very clean and well maintained.
Would stay here again if we visited St Ives.
