A traditional and modern twist..

Seaglass Cottage has been recently redesigned and is the perfect combination between traditional and modern with a coastal inspired flare. The open plan kitchen and living area on the ground floor is beautifully presented and cosy with furnishings and accessories selected from the sought after Cream Cornwall shop. The cottage features many pieces of artwork from local Cornish artists. From the well equipped kitchen you proceed up the original and characterful wooden staircase complete with twisted rope handrails.

On the first floor you will find three double bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a zip and link feature and can accomodate the need for two single beds instead. The coastal living inspired interior design continues throughout with sea life cushions and lamps and ash wood furniture. The newly renovated bathroom with walk in shower, LED mirror, wash basin and WC can also be found on this floor. Guests have access to all areas of the cottage, including a small outside space to dry wet suits and store beach equipment.

A perfect place..

Seaglass Cottage is within level walking distance of many of St Ives attractions, including Porthmeor surfing beach which is less than a one minute stroll around the corner and The Tate Gallery which can be seen from the cottage. For those wishing to explore further afield the adjacent Coastal Path provides for stunning walks in both directions.

Positioned directly opposite the famous St Ives School of Painting located in the newly re-generated Porthmeor Studios.

Seaglass cottage is a magical space ... you step right back into what was once a fisherman's humble abode a few steps from his boat in the harbour. It's been transformed into a very charming, modern cottage but still has the fisherman's village charm that is what makes St Ives the sought after seaside resort that it is... authentic, ancient, delightful. The walk to the car Park is steep but quick (just over 5 minutes). The beds are luxurious with comfortable mattresses and plump, crisply linened pillows. Snuggle up in the lounge under a woollen blanket if the weather is bad. The harbour is 2 minutes walk away. Kitchen brilliantly equipped with every amenity you would wish for. The new bathroom is awesome. My favourite thing... the old stairs to the upper floor.

The cottage is beautifully furnished and decorated and feels light and bright and surprisingly spacious. The owners have clearly considered all the needs of their visitors and have equipped the house generously and with great style. The beds are amazingly comfortable and the bedding luxurious. We adored the location, a few doors down from both a wonderful coffee shop/bar and a very handy grocery shop, and seconds from Porthmeor. We’d love to return again as soon as we can!

Seaglass Cottage is perfect. The cottage has everything you need and is furnished to the highest standard using local soft furnishings and crockery. The beds and sofas are super comfy. We absolutely loved our stay, four grown ups, a baby and child, there was ample room. It really is a stones throw from the beach, town and TATE. I’d book this cottage again in a heartbeat. Enjoy St Ives and Seaglass Cottage.

An absolute gem! The cottage location is fantastic and a very short walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. You have to sacrifice some space to stay in such a location and after all it is a fisherman’s cottage. Five of us stayed there and it didn’t feel overcrowded. I was a bit worried about the stairs because of my elderly mother, but she coped OK because of the rope she could hold onto. Missing it already! Would highly recommend.

A wonderful cottage in a fantastic location....2 minutes walk to Porthmeor Beach and the Tate, and close to galleries and harbour. Kitchen was well equipped and beds were all very comfortable. The Norway general store is just down the road. We would love to stay again!

Seaglass Cottage was in an excellent location for exploring St. Ives. It was just down the street from the beach, bakeries and restaurants. Our family was very comfortable there. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing some meals at home. I loved all the beautiful art on the walls. My kids also enjoyed using the beach toys. The loading/unloading spot next to the house was easy to use. We loved our holiday in St. Ives!

Seaglass cottage is the perfect place to stay to visit St. Ives. The beach is only steps away and even when the weather is not great, the cottage is a great place to hang out in. It’s cosy and stylish. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely will be returning soon.

Absolutely wonderful cottage!
We’ve been going to St Ives for almost 20 years and this is the best for location, facilities, ART! and super friendly hosts.
It’s opposite Porthmeor studios, a stroll to Porthmeor Beach and a cheeky cut thru gets you into the harbour in 2 mins.
Totally delighted! 💗🎨💗
