A beautifully redesigned town house..
The ground floor is the heart of Spindrift with a charming cottage kitchen, fully equipped with top of the range appliances, underfloor heating, as well as a welcome area which leads outside to a crucial de-salt and sand area with hot/cold rain shower. This is perfect for washing down surfing addicts, big, small or furry, after a day at the beach. The area also provides wet suit drying space and board storage areas.
The main, light living and dining space has many original features which have been sympathetically restored. With a newly installed, contemporary wood burner and Sonos system for those cosy nights in and chats on the sofa. Or gather with your friends and family at the large dining table with feature lighting you’re bound to feel at home here in luxurious surroundings.
The first floor at Spindrift has a king sized master bedroom and a twin, each with local artwork and EMMA mattresses which continue the feel of luxury and comfort. The master bedroom has the added benefit of a desk/make up area as well as a high backed chair to relax in and watch the world pass by. The first floor is completed with a breath-taking bathroom with a modern deep free-standing bath to enjoy a soak in or dunk the kids and rain shower all styled in Georgian chic.
Just off the first floor there’s a sun trap balcony for that essential morning coffee, sun-downer cocktail or just to relax with a book and have a well earned rest. The second floor has a further double styled by Cream Cornwall with sea glimpses and views across St Ives and a second twin bedroom. The second floor is finished with a newly fitted modern design separate wet room shower and WC making Spindrift the perfect choice for two families of four or a family with older kids who like their own space.
With completely re-wired Wifi Spindrift has been designed to keep all your “streamers” online or just to keep you in touch if you need to check your emails or have to touch in with work.
A perfect place..
Right on the doorstep of Spindrift there is plenty to keep the whole family entertained. St Ives is just waiting to be explored. With a feast of restaurants, cafes and bars offering delicious breakfasts, cream teas and warming suppers. Boat trips around the bay can be booked from the harbour.
Five stunning beaches with crystal clear waters and clean waves for avid surfers on the infamous Porthmeor beach. Potter through St Ives' narrow cobbled streets, catching a glimpse of local life, fisherman and the eclectic mix of shops and galleries. Perfect for those shoppers keen to take home their own piece of Cornwall.
For day trips outside of St Ives. St Michael's Mount, a small tidal island in Mount's Bay is just a short car ride away and linked to Marazion by a man made causeway which us passable between mid-tide and low water. The famous Lands End and dazzling Sennen Cove beach are also worth a visit, a little further afield.
Reviews
We had a fantastic week at the Townhouse, which is perfectly located for a break in St Ives. The house is dog friendly, in great condition with everything you would need. Parking wise you can park immediately adjacent - although it is quite expensive, or we parked at the Leisure Centre (up a hill, but safe, secure and cheaper). There are four bedrooms, two doubles and two twins. The bathrooms are exceptional, in particular the master bathroom which has a great shower and bathtub. The house is dog-friendly which is a great plus. The small courtyard area has a shower and washing line which is handy after a day on the beach. Communication was great, check-in and check-out was easy and we had no issues whatsoever. Really highly recommended and we would definitely stay again if in the area!
The house was beautiful and very much suited our big family. The underfloor heating in the kitchen was a bonus, great to come down in the morning especially as the weather was chilly to have your feet warm and snuggly. The layout was perfect and there was plenty of room for us all, my granddaughter who is two and half spent all of her time playing at the big dining room table. The house is in a perfect location, close enough to all the shops, restaurants, pubs and beaches but in a nice quiet area. We have been to St Ives many times and not stayed in this area before as my husband likes to be able to see the sea but even he thought the house was perfect.
We had a lovely stay and would certainly stay here again. The location is fantastic, a 5 minute walk down to the harbour with all it's restaurants, pubs and shops. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, also the beds were very comfortable! Would definitely recommend this place!
