Carbis Bay villa with amazing sea views..

With views from the balcony across St Ives Bay and beyond Godrevy forms part of the Victorian built villa, Tremorna House, that was originally the home of the St Ives School of Artists. Tremorna is located in Wheal Margery, Carbis Bay and is the perfect destination for those that want a relaxed lifestyle getaway and just a pebble’s throw from the heart of St Ives art, culture and foodie hub. With its palm-fringed sandy beach, water sports, ocean-side spa and stunning bay views Carbis Bay is the perfect choice for those looking for the idyllic spot to dip a toe in the luxury coastal lifestyle.

This ground floor two bedroom apartment is accessed via steps down a private path from the reserved parking space located outside the main house on the private road. With a vaulted ceiling the main king size bedroom has a bright and fresh feel, next door the twin room is ideally suited to children but two adults would be equally comfortable in the single beds. The kitchen has everything that you need for your self-catering stay enabling you to relax and enjoy the balcony after a day out exploring West Cornwall.

The open plan living space is part of the original Tremorna House and has a wonderful high ceiling with patio doors to the terrace which allows the Cornish sunlight in and that big breath of fresh sea air… Beyond the perimeter of the cultivated area the communal garden and neighbouring grounds drop away and become more naturalistic with a woodland path. Care is required in using the garden and neighbouring pathway and small children in particular should be supervised at all times due to the steeply sloping nature of the path.

At Godrevy you can take advantage of the direct access on to the South West Coast path via the serene communal gardens or just sit back and relax in the tranquil escape.

A perfect place..

A few minutes walk down from Godrevy leads you down to Carbis Bay beach. Carbis Bay beach is one of the best family beaches with most needed facilities on the beachfront. A range of ocean based activities may be taken at The Ocean Sports Centre on Carbis Bay beach.

You can also stroll a gentle fifteen minute walk along the South West coast path from Carbis Bay to St Ives and enjoy the spectacular views over St Ives Bay. Explore St Ives which is full of wonderful galleries, restaurants, cafes, shops and beaches. With its narrow cobbled streets and fisherman's cottages.

A beautiful apartment, great for us with a toddler as no stairs inside and lots of doors so we could stop her getting into different rooms. The steps down are quite steep but our 1 year old managed with a hand hold. The view is absolutely stunning and we all enjoyed sitting and watching the sea go out on a morning.
Lisa was so helpful and responded quickly and gave us great tips of where to go and to see the seals. This was our first trip to Cornwall and we would 100% come back to stay here. The walk down to the beach was enjoyable and 1 and 5 year old managed it, Carbis bay beach was our favourite as the sand is so beautiful. We had a big 4x4 and managed to park easily and turn it around but I think this would be harder in summer, there were some men doing work next door so a couple of days we parked up the top so they could get closer and that was fine too 😊
Honestly couldn't recommend more!

Louise

My husband, 2 sons (aged 8 & 10) and I had a most enjoyable stay in Godrevy apartment. The views of Carbis Bay from the balcony were stunning and was in a great location to walk to Carbis Bay beach and St Ives along the coastal path. The apartment was very clean, comfy beds and fluffy white towels. The kitchen was great and had all we needed and the living area extremely cosy and welcoming. We had an amazing family holiday and loved Carbis Bay beach the most, would definitely recommend the paddle boarding and kayaking there!

Emily

A beautiful apartment with a lovely living room and balcony with views down over Carbis Bay. You can easily access the Coastal path and walk to both St Ives and Carbis Bay - both walks are lovely but involve steps and slopes. The apartment was clean and well equipped and communication was excellent and friendly at all times. The external steps down to the apartment could be a bit tricky for some people but there is a handrail to help if needed. You need to be reasonably confident with parking and car manoeuvres for the allocated parking spot too! We loved our time here and would definitely visit again.

David

Very clean apartment with a beautiful view from the living area and balcony. The location was fantastic - right on the coastal path, within walking distance of St Ives and numerous beaches.

Zara

We had a fantastic stay in Godrevy apartment. It was absolutely spotless and provided lots of space for the four of us. The apartment is brilliantly located within easy walk of both Carbis Bay and St. Ives. Serena and Lisa were fantastic hosts and always quickly responded to any of our questions. Thank you!

Lewis

A lovely bright and clean apartment with a modern well equipped kitchen. The views of the sea and Carbis Bay beach from the balcony and living room are fabulous. We walked to St Ives each day along the coastal path which is a couple of minutes walk down from the apartment.

Stephen

What a beautiful apartment. Attention to detail was wonderful, including the original art pieces. The view from the living room and balcony across Carbis Bay was incredible - a perfect setting for relaxed, romantic dinners. Being on the coastal path was also handy and meant that we could avoid using the car. Overall this was a luxury holiday experience!

Reviews

We've just had a lovely week in St Ives. Porthmeor Blue is lovely, the location is brilliant and we'd highly recommend it for a seaside stay. I could literally stare out at the sea all day long! There's plenty of space for four adults although the twin room was perfect for our toddler. The balcony was a safe height that prevented climbing and the single storey meant we didn't have to worry about (internal) stairs. One thing of note was parking. However once we'd unloaded and ditched car at the leisure centre across the town, we were happy to slowly meander on foot, stopping for a cider or two of course! It's a lovely spot in a beautiful town. We'd love to come back again. Thank you.

Rosie

My husband and I had a fabulous week in this well equipped with everything you need property. The place was spotless with plenty of room, and very well equipped for the full self catering experience. Although there are plenty of fabulous restaurants within easy walking distance of the property. The views from the balcony looking down to the beach and sea were stunning. Especially seeing the sun set in the distance from the balcony with a glass of fizz, what more do you need. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this property to anyone. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

Denise

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it made all the difference being in such a perfect location with everything from beaches to shops in easy walking distance. The flat was immaculate and the view is amazing from the balcony. Sandy Toes were very quick responding to a couple of queries and we loved every minute of our stay. Thank you so much.

Miranda

Fantastic, stay in such a beautiful location. The apartment looks over such an incredible view of the sea. A beautiful balcony to relax from was one of my favourite features. The space is open and airy with no clutter. Beds were comfortable bathroom was spacious with a good shower, walking distance from everything and a cheap car park. That’s safe and secure right next door. Had an amazing, very creative stay with friends and can’t wait to visit again.

Sheldon

Great place, great location. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Kerry

This apartment is in a fantastic location, right by the beach with lovely sea views from the main bedroom and balcony (we got pastries and coffee from the bakery 5 mins' walk from the apartment and enjoyed breakfast on the balcony). The long-stay car park is a 30-second walk away, also super-convenient. The apartment is clean, spacious, well-furnished, comfortable etc. Lisa is very friendly, everything went without a hitch. We will definitely be back!

David

Lovely place with beach view. Also really close to town. The only slight downside is parking, but that's the same with most properties in St Ives. Really spacious, so would be fine with 4 adults. We were just two of us, so were rattling round!

Glyn

We come to St Ives every year but this was the first time we spent Christmas there. Porthmeor Blue was amazing.
The views are breathtaking, location is second to none and the apartment was super clean.
I would highly recommend staying here and will no doubt book again.

Absolutely perfect in a stunning location, you will not be disappointed with a stay at Sandy Lane. The apartment was beautiful, fully equipped, immaculately clean and offers lovely views. The bed linen is really nice too! It is located in a great spot, quiet with convenient access to all the local amenities, tourist spots and gorgeous coast typical of Cornwall. I can’t wait to return! Thanks Sandy Toes for a lovely stay.

Rachael

We really enjoyed our week at the apartment. Spacious and clean and just as the pictures show. A short walk to the beach and the train station for an easy ride into St Ives. Great restaurants in local area. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Clodagh

We had a lovely stay at 4 Sandy Lane. The accommodation was so well equipped, coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine etc. It was also really clean and tidy. There is ample room for four guests. With a little balcony providing sea views. Great for a wine or gin and tonic.
-
Located within a two minute walk from the train station, trains run really frequent into St Ives or going the other way Penzance. The beach another five or so minutes away. Carbis Bay beach is beautiful and clean. We had good weather so spent a few days on the beach.
-
Sandy Toes Stays are professional and efficient. You can see their van whilst you’re out and about, so if you did encounter any issues you know that someone is on hand to help. I would recommend booking your holiday through them.
Brendon

We had a lovely time staying at 4 Sandy Lane. The location was amazing, so close to the beach and train station, and the apartment was spotlessly clean. We had a small issue with a smoke alarm beeping intermittently and a few light bulbs not working, but Lisa made sure that someone came out to fix this straight away and communication was excellent. This didn’t impact how much we enjoyed our stay at all. We had a really lovely week.
Fay

A perfectly located apartment- stunning views and a few mins walk down to Carbis Bay. This was a much quieter beach than some of the big hot spots and even more beautiful. There isn’t much parking down at the beach, so it felt really special to have a parking space at the apartment and wander down. The hill back up is pretty steep but great for burning off those ice creams 😄
The apartment is clean, comfortable and has a well equipped kitchen. The hosts communicated really quickly whenever I asked a question and provided helpful responses. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this apartment.

Aisling

Perfectly placed for St Ives and Carbis beach Number four was so nice to come back too at the end of the day, very reassured with all covid precautions pre check in from Lisa.
Everything catered for Thank you Lisa and Sandy Toes

We had a lovely stay at Beagle Cottage in October half term. The cottage has been renovated to a very high standard with a keen eye on design, creating a very attractive internal environment. The sitting area is particularly unique. Internal furnishings compliment the design well. The location is also stunning: very private with lots of outdoor space and uncompromised views over green fields and the sea. St Ives is however close by on foot or by car and there are numerous public footpaths on the doorstep for the more adventurous. We’ll be back again soon hopefully!
Nick

The only word for this cottage is awesome! It had absolutely everything we needed—and more. The setting is beautiful, with sea views and a high-standard, stylish interior. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch, full of local goodies that made for a perfect first breakfast.

We stayed as a family with two young kids, and the layout worked so well—the bedrooms at one end meant we could enjoy our evenings without worrying about waking the children. We loved watching the local wildlife through the huge windows—foxes, rabbits, pheasants, and so many birds.

St Ives was just a five-minute drive away, and parking at the leisure centre with the shuttle bus into town made things so easy. We couldn’t have asked for a better holiday base and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone!

Can’t wait to stop again!
Julie

We have stayed at many holiday cottages but this has to be the best ever and I can’t recommend it highly enough! Beautifully decorated and super clean and comfortable with an outstanding setting looking out to sea! St Ives so close by and also easy access to the wild coast of Cornwall down towards St Just. Eat at the famous Gurnards Head near Zennor or visit The Jackson institute and The Dog and Rabbit cafe in St Just for the best coffee. There is so much to love about this place and the area we can’t wait to visit again. Thank you so much Lisa for accommodating us at short notice and being super friendly and helpful!!

Liz

I can honestly say that this is the first time I have been to a property where I can find nothing to complain about !
The property was beyond our expectations in every way.
The sheer size of the place was amazing and the position could not be better ! The welcome pack of food and drink was just right. We loved the loaf of bread and found the baker and made sure we got a sourdough loaf everyday ! The Cornish ginger biscuits were also rebought !
Thanks for an amazing stay !!
Alan

We loved the tranquility/ the remoteness/the view of the sea and the end of road location and yet we were 10 mins away from St Ives by car or 40 mins by walking. The enclosed garden was beautiful and well thought out, the double wall with bedding plants - spectacular. The semi mowed field on the other side, lovely too.

The house was very well laid out and top notch in terms of furnishings and fittings. we liked having 2 separate sitting rooms - one an extension of the kitchen and the other with the 2 amazing full length windows allowing you to see both sunset and sunrise. The en-suite bedrooms were deluxe and the 2 strong showers at the same time in the middle of the country another 5 star tick.

I give too much detail. But truly lovely. Thank you.

Lois

Wonderful stay at Beagle cottage, loved the tranquility & peace. The underfloor heating is fabulous & Sonos sound system. Lisa is so lovely & tends to all your questions/needs. Loved cooking in the kitchen with the tunes, so no need to eat out!!
Porthcurno was a lovely day out, as was priests cove, so many dog walks!!
An amazing stay was had by our family, thanks Lisa x
Lisa

We had an absolutely incredible stay! The owners have created a true oasis, filled with thoughtful touches that make you feel right at home. Every detail was carefully considered, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It was the perfect home base for exploring the magic of Southwest Cornwall. We can't wait to return!

Kate

We had a fantastic stay at the Beagle cottage in St Ives.

The cottage is beautifully located in an amazing private location with wonderful SeaViews. We enjoyed walking to St Ives as well as hiking local trails.
The cottage was spotlessly clean on our arrival, Sandy toes stays staff was friendly and responsive throughout our stay.
We truly loved our stay.
Goran

Beagle Cottage was like something out of a fairy tale! The pictures do not do it justice.
Lovely open plan , heated flooring and beautiful views. 5 mins drive from St Ives harbour - lots of toys and books for children as well as a cute hamper on arrival.
This cottage was the highlight of our stay!
For anyone wanting to go to Cornwall I would say do not hesitate and book !!

Rosie

Such a lovely cottage, really spacious, having a great layout, and very comfortable and well-equipped. We loved the different seating areas indoor and out, making the best of the morning/evening sun. Great having the option to walk into St Ives, over the fields and stone stiles. After the lovely but busy St Ives (it was mid-August so expected) it was great to enjoy the calm of Beagle Cottage. Highly recommend, we would love to return.

We had a fantastic week at the Townhouse, which is perfectly located for a break in St Ives. The house is dog friendly, in great condition with everything you would need. Parking wise you can park immediately adjacent - although it is quite expensive, or we parked at the Leisure Centre (up a hill, but safe, secure and cheaper). There are four bedrooms, two doubles and two twins. The bathrooms are exceptional, in particular the master bathroom which has a great shower and bathtub. The house is dog-friendly which is a great plus. The small courtyard area has a shower and washing line which is handy after a day on the beach. Communication was great, check-in and check-out was easy and we had no issues whatsoever. Really highly recommended and we would definitely stay again if in the area!

Nathan

The house was beautiful and very much suited our big family. The underfloor heating in the kitchen was a bonus, great to come down in the morning especially as the weather was chilly to have your feet warm and snuggly. The layout was perfect and there was plenty of room for us all, my granddaughter who is two and half spent all of her time playing at the big dining room table. The house is in a perfect location, close enough to all the shops, restaurants, pubs and beaches but in a nice quiet area. We have been to St Ives many times and not stayed in this area before as my husband likes to be able to see the sea but even he thought the house was perfect.

Sally

We had a lovely stay and would certainly stay here again. The location is fantastic, a 5 minute walk down to the harbour with all it's restaurants, pubs and shops. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, also the beds were very comfortable! Would definitely recommend this place!

Trudi

We had a wonderful week staying at this stylish place and felt immediately at home. A great location for exploring St Ives and enjoying family fun at the beach. Thanks for a lovely stay. Your place was one of the nicest and homeliest places we’ve stayed in.
Rachel

Absolutely lovely house - so well renovated & thought out. The house is so well equipped & everything is of the highest standard. Would be perfect for 2 families with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on each floor. Location is great just a short walk to everything. We had a great stay here & would definitely return and stay here again.
