Downalong location, loft conversion..

The outside facade of the home is of classic fisherman’s cottage style, up a small set of granite steps to the first floor is the entrance porch. Up into the roof space is the main footprint of the house. The stairs have been made child safe with a permanent retractable stair-gate. You will find an intimate conversational living room with ample seating for the whole family featuring exposed beams and vaulted ceilings throughout the home.

At the front of Mulberry Loft is the kitchen, which has recently been renovated to continue the calming coastal cottage vibe with soft blues and coppers, also including a stylish breakfast nook for those Sunday morning fry ups and family evening dinners. Enjoy a soak and unwind in the oversized bathtub after a long day of exploring the town. The larger than average bathroom is equipped with all the amenities a modern family could desire.

Take your pick of one of Mulberry Loft’s 3 bedrooms. Sleep under the stars in the primary bedroom which boasts Velux windows with solar powered black out blinds, a comfy double bed, more exposed beams, and a recently added marble shower room. The second bedroom is a considerable king sized room finished to the same high standard and attention to detail, and the third a sizeable twin room with large double window, solid wood flooring and vaulted ceilings.

Mulberry loft can adequately accommodate up to 6 guests, it is the ideal home for a family trip to the heart of the best historic town in the South West.

A parking space off site at St Ives RFC is also available and included with reservations made at Mulberry Loft.

Mulberry Loft is situated in the highly popular Downalong location in St Ives. Within effortless walking distance of the four beaches of St Ives including Porthmeor, Porthgwidden, Bamaluz and Harbour Beach.

Also with numerous restaurants, bars, cafes and local shops just a stones throw away this cottage makes for a perfect stay for families without any need to use your car. Just perfect for relaxing and enjoying everything that St Ives has to offer.

Mulberry Loft is gorgeous and location was just perfect. The fixtures, fittings and furnishings were all of a very high standard.

We did only use it as a base as there are so many lovely places to eat in St. Ives. and places to visit nearby. But the kitchen was lovely and very well equipped and I’m sure you’d have everything you need to hand if you were to cook some meals there.

We wouldn’t hesitate to book again and would highly recommend to family and friends planning to visit St. Ives.
Your communication throughout was fantastic and check-in was easy, we were even able to check in early, bonus!!

Mulberry Loft is by far the best value for money accommodation we’ve stayed in in St Ives. It is a home from home that has everything you need and more. The little finishing touches and home comforts make for a functional and comfortable stay. It has everything necessary for washing and drying clothes to cooking a lavish meal! Right in the centre of town, everything is a short walk away - the best crabbing spot and beaches for children are literally around the corner! We loved our stay and will be rebooking! Our best stay in St Ives yet!

We spent a wonderful week in the Mulberry Loft.St Ives is a very busy place in the summer, but we were able to do all we planned because the cottage is in an ideal location. Every day we spent time on the beach it was only a five minute walk to the nearest one. Plus plenty of shops for browsing in or the odd treat.

When we got hungry there were plenty of lovely places to snack or have a special meal. Also a lovely big table to sit around and chat about our day. We loved it.

We stayed 3 days in this cute little house and felt very comfortable. It is super centrally located in the middle of St Ives and it is still so incredibly quiet there that you can relax superbly. The house is super well maintained and very lovingly and tastefully furnished, you immediately feel at home. In the area, all the beaches can be reached quickly and even a small shop is just a few steps away to get something quickly. Checking in via the key box was easy and smooth. Rarely arrived, we were even brought a bottle of sparkling wine and fresh milk. We found our stay to be perfect all around.

We had a fantastic stay on this beautiful loft. All the beaches in St Ives are just a few minutes away, as is the harbour, shops and restaurants. Very quiet at night and laying in bed looking up at the stars through the skylight was lovely. Guaranteed parking spot also a bonus. Would definitely come again.

A great place to stay in a really good location close to the galleries/shops, and Porthgwidden beach (our favourite). Inside the loft is very comfortable and all bedrooms are good sizes; nothing feels squeezed in or squashed.

The lounge was a lovely room to relax in after a day at the beach and there was lots of light so it didn't feel dark.

The kitchen is very well equipped and the bathroom great (a good power shower and an additional hand held shower head that helped get sand off our little one!).

I'd definitely book it again.

Our whole family love Mulberry Loft. The listing is accurate in every respect and we particularly love the bathroom! The property is clean, well-maintained and with thoughtful touches that give a real seaside feel. It is close to lovely beaches, wonderful places to eat and to the bustle of this unique town but in this delightful holiday home you can be away from the crowd in moments. We would be happy to recommend it to friends and will be returning for our third year there.

Lovely place in a great location in the heart of St Ives. Can’t speak highly enough of the property as the finish and thought into the place is second to none.

One tip from me is the car parking. It’s about 1.2miles from the loft and it’s crazy streets and people everywhere. We got a taxi down and back for a few pound and was well worth it. Ace cabs is the one we used.

Indoor outdoor living..

3 Clearwater is our vibrant hidden gem perfect for a peaceful holiday whilst remaining close to the action. After parking your car in the property’s private space you will find the entrance on the next street over, Talland road, through the secure gate and onto the outside decking where you will instantly be greeted with the prodigious views out to sea. Ample comfortable seating here enables it to be the perfect spot for a morning coffee or early evening tipple.

Down the open granite staircase, you will find the open lower decking with pebbled terraces that mimic a hidden beach. The bifold doors into the main open-plan living spaces can be completely opened up to create an indoor-outdoor living area to relish during the spring/summer months. Ample lounge seating flows superfluously into the open kitchen/dining area for those easeful summer family gatherings.

Just off the kitchen is the first double bedroom with en suite shower room, which continues the warm, summery aesthetic of the home. At the other end of the kitchen is a small hallway leading to the second king bedroom and larger family bathroom.

A perfect place..

3 Clearwater is perfectly situated just a few moment's walk to Porthminster Beach and St Ives train station. You are also only a short stroll down the hill to experience the famous cobbled streets and turquoise waters of St Ives harbour front.

Great location, lovely property, having the outdoor terrace was brilliant. Comfortable beds and all amenities we needed. Really good communication from Lisa, definitely the best place I have stayed in St Ives. Will certainly be hoping to stay again when next visiting St Ives.

The apartment was easy to find when driving into st ives. Parking is in front which was so easy to drive out of st ives to explore Cornwall.
You enter the building from the rear into the balcony and down the steps. The steps are steep we have no issues and we did have children with us.
We loved the balcony and view is was amazing.
Walk to the only 5 minutes away but if you never been to st ives it is hilly- ( so it’s take long all depending on fitness and the amount of stuff you are carrying)
Apartment clean and spacious
Amazing shower in main bathroom. Good Internet which is a bonus with children and Netflix.

Just had the loveliest week in St Ives. The accommodation was spacious and clean with home from home touches such as a washing machine, iron and board, clothes airer and a dishwasher. It was spotlessly clean and the beds were really comfy. Added bonus of towels for the bathrooms so only needed beach towels. The location is great, 5 minutes walk down to town and harbour also about 5 minutes walk down to porthminster beach. We would definitely book again.

Really lovely place to stay in St Ives. Perfectly situated, easy to get into town and to the beach, just a short walk and a nice distance away from all the hustle and bustle. The apartment itself was lovely and clean with great amenities. We were 2 adults and a 1 year old baby. Really good communication from Sandy Toes, they were also kind enough to rent us a highchair and travel cot so we didn't need to pack these. Would glady stay here again.

Superb eco home..

This home is fresh and radiant featuring open plan living spaces with wall art by numerous local artists, which compliments the stylish furnishings and finishes. A new construction property, Gwel Bre is situated amongst a quiet street of modern homes, set back from the main town of St Ives which allows a different perspective of countryside views, a 20-minute walk from town centre. 

The property first greets you with an impressive double fronted facade behind a sizeable private driveway for up to 2 vehicles. Upon entering, you will pass through a practical boot room straight into the substantial open plan living, kitchen, dining room, with separate laundry room and downstairs WC.

Upstairs are 3 inviting bedrooms, one twin room (or super king) and one primary king ensuite, both bright and calming, decorated with more local art and contemporary furnishings. The third bedroom is small but has an occasional put up Z bed which is suitable for a child or plenty of space for a travel cot. It also has a lot of extra wardrobe space. Alternatively it can be a useful space for working as it has a desk and chair. Also upstairs is a full bathroom with over head shower, flooded with natural light.

A perfect place..

Gwel Bre is the perfect balance between countryside, waterside and town living. Blending in seamlessly with it's surroundings The Carracks' contemporary eco houses are within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty owned by The National Trust. 

It attracts wildlife from deer to many different species of bird therefore an ideal location for walkers and nature enthusiasts alike. A walk up Rosewall Hill will reward you with panoramic views of the Cornish coastline towards St Ives.

Just got home from our lovely staycation at Gwel Bre. We had a lovely time. Perfect location to walk to the town and beach and still have amazing country side views. Would definitely recommend. We also went with out young children who also loved it. It was a lovely break away and still felt like home from home with every little detail was thought off. Definitely recommend.

A truly wonderful house , with everything you need … from the moment we arrived it felt like a home . So much to see, do and eat (!) in St Ives and surrounding area and lucky to have parking for 2 cars right outside . The walk into St Ives and back up isn’t the easiest but worth it! We really enjoyed our stay at Gwel Bre 13 The Caracks, it’s a beautiful home, spacious and with every modern convenience you could want…and it’s pet friendly! Our fur babies really enjoyed their holiday too. The rain shower is a definite plus 🙂

Gwel Bre is a beautiful modern house and looked even better than the photos in real life! The house was scrupulously clean and is well-located. You can walk into St Ives which is great as parking isn’t easy! Takes about 25 minutes. The beds were very comfortable which is important. Lisa & Serena were extremely helpful and always responded promptly to any questions we had. We would be happy to stay here again and definitely recommend staying at Gwel Bre if you’d like to visit St Ives and the surrounding area.

Very close to St Ives (around 20 minutes walking - but uphill on the way back!) and fantastic location to explore South West Cornwall.

The house was super clean, fitted with modern furniture and appliances and perfect size for a family of 4.

Sandy Toes were super quick to respond to our questions and always helpful with tips and advice.

Overall a fantastic holiday and we would highly recommend a stay at this place.

Our stay at Cara Cottage was truly wonderful. It is located in a quiet settlement outside of St. Ives - about 5 minutes by car or 40 minutes on foot. There is a hiking path right in front of the house and it takes only 15 minutes to the South West Path along the cliffs.
The house is well equipped, even for longer stays.
We hope we can be back soon.

We would certainly recommend Cara Cottage. The location is ideal if you are looking for a quiet stay, with beautiful walks straight from the front door. St Ives is only a 5 minute drive away (be warned parking is difficult) or it’s a couple of miles to walk.
The living area was spacious for the two of us and had everything we needed.
Communication with Lisa was excellent.

We were really impressed with the accommodation - it genuinely exceeded expectations. Super clean and very spacious - we had everything we needed to hand. The views outside of the seaside are stunning and it was a lovely walk to the centre of St Ives from where we stayed.

We had our two children with us and it the accommodation was safe and child friendly - they loved it!

We definitely recommend this place if you are going to St Ives for a holiday.

Just got back from an amazing stay at Cara cottage. It’s so peaceful with beautiful views. The cottage is really clean and tidy and has everything you need. The views are incredible and there are walking paths right on the doorstep.
It’s not far to drive into St Ives and there are lots of places to park, restaurants and beaches to go to.
Our two toddlers absolutely loved the cottage and felt right at home straight away.
So many recommended places to see and do in Lisa’s little guide book.
Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

We stayed at Cara Cottage very recently and we can definitely say we would happily stay there again in the future! The property itself is great, nice and clean and such an ideal location if you have dogs with fields right outside. Sandy Toes made the experience very simple and this added to a great stay, we would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for somewhere nice and quiet with lots of scenery!

Countryside and ocean views..

Located in Trowan, a small hamlet a little more than a mile away from St Ives amongst a cluster of country cottages and conversions. The outlook from this incredible home is rolling countryside of the surrounding farm and out to the ocean from the front. Attached to Morveren is Cara cottage, a stylish two bedroom across one floor, renovated to the same high standard as the main house, which can be a  separate dwelling or included for larger families that require more space. 

The property first welcomes you into the palatial entrance foyer featuring exposed granite walls and bespoke oak staircase, with double doors inviting you into the kitchen or each of the two living rooms, one being the TV room and the other a more conversational space, each with their own wood burner. The TV room flows into the quintessentially English country style kitchen / dining room, flooded with natural light, designed for large family meals. 

Also on the ground floor is a full laundry room and downstairs WC.

Four Large bedrooms dominate the top two floors, all boasting tall, vaulted ceilings, ocean or countryside views. There are two primary suites with en suite bathrooms both including separate bath and showers, the other two bedrooms sharing a large family bathroom also including both bath and shower. Solid oak floors span the bedrooms kept comfortable with underfloor heating and fluffy rugs.
